Vanessa Núñez serves as Technology Lead of Pave Labs, LLC, the wholly owned software subsidiary of Pave Finance, Inc. She spends her days at the intersection of product strategy and engineering, handling both cross-team collaboration and heads down engineering simultaneously. Vanessa is motivated by watching Pave's product grow and the chance to learn something new on every project she works on.

In her three plus years at Pave, Vanessa has contributed to a wide range of projects as the platform has matured. One she is especially proud of is Pave's fundamental portfolio analysis, where she owned the underlying calculations and a significant portion of the technical build.

What drew Vanessa to Pave was the opportunity to work alongside a talented team in a high-paced environment. She is equally energized by the product itself, and by the idea that “money is a fundamental part of life that is genuinely rewarding to understand.”

Vanessa studied Information Systems at Universidad de El Salvador. She built an early foundation in technology, beginning in networking before discovering a passion for coding. Along the way, she completed an internship in Seattle where she took home first place in the International Air and Space Program at NASA Space Camp for her submission of a landing platform prototype that was later tested aboard the International Space Station.

Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys spending time with friends, volunteering, particularly with women in STEM initiatives, and sewing. She is also a dedicated student of wine and beer, having studied wine and completed the BJCP exam to become a certified Beer Judge.
