Mrunmai Abhyankar serves as Product Designer of Pave Labs, LLC, the wholly owned software subsidiary of Pave Finance, Inc. She works across many aspects of design, from scaling Pave's design system to boost functionality as the product grows to designing features screens across the entire platform.

During her time at Pave, Mrunmai has helped build the shared Pave UI library used across Pave Pro, defined foundational design system elements such as design tokens and component patterns, and worked on complex, data-heavy experiences like tables and visualizations, balancing usability with information density. Throughout, she partners closely with engineers to preserve design intent through implementation. That work reflects the part of Pave's mission that resonates with her most: democratizing wealth management by making investing more accessible, which she believes begins with the trust that thoughtful design helps establish.

Mrunmai's path to Pave grew out of a Research Assistant role in investment management during her Master's, which introduced her to a field she came to enjoy and sparked a growing interest in fintech. Pave felt like a natural fit, combining her engineering background, her understanding of investment management, and her experience in product design and accessibility. Just as important was the team, a small, collaborative group where everyone has ownership and a shared sense of building something together.

Mrunmai holds an MS in Information Studies, specialized in Product Design and UX Research, from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from the Pune Institute of Computer Technology in India. For her Master's capstone, she researched accessibility in XR workflows with the nonprofit XR Access and the Metaverse Standards Forum. She also conducted UX research for the Teachers Retirement System of Texas, work recognized with a Category Excellence Award for Concept Development and Design Methods.
