Empiricism, not Emotionalism

We all get caught up in the emotions of elections, but we must remember that history tells us that the political outcome is not the most important factor in the market's overall health.

We need to step back as investors and ensure we focus on the economics, not the politics, although we are all tied to the latter. Emotional decisions in turbulent market environments are typically a recipe for disaster.

Our suggestion: turn off financial news for a couple of days.

The current data looks favorable so do not panic and remember that time in the market is far more important than timing the market.
